The probate judge may act as a custodian of the funds of a minor or of a person of unsound mind not having a guardian. The probate judge is required to keep a separate account for each such person recording all receipts and disbursements (see Ala. Code, 26-7-5 [1975]). This series records all account transactions and provides the name of the account holder, amount in account, where funds deposited, date, amount of payment, and receipts. This record began in ca. 1923 and continues to the present.
